4 Robbers Busted At Baatsona

The Baatsona district police have apprehended four suspected armed robbers who are believed to be part of a gang terrorizing residents of the area, including Spintex Road.

The suspects are Nana Kwame, 28-year-old technician who hails from Kumasi Abrepo; Agbogba Junior, a minor who comes from Abor in the Volta Region; Stephen Soglo Makafui aka Stone Boy, 20 and Amuzu Mensah,  a 22-year-old mason, who also comes from  Dzodze in the Volta Region.

The fifth person, whose name was only given as Herman Christopher, currently at large, is wanted by the police.

Briefing the media, DCOP Christian Tetteh Youno, the outgoing Accra Regional police commander, said at the dawn of Monday, November 26, 2015, at about 2:00 am, the police control room received a distress call that a house at Hydrophone Estate was under attack.

The district patrol team quickly proceeded to the scene but unfortunately, the robbers had bolted.

Whilst the team was patrolling for the suspects, they spotted them in the locality.

A search was conducted on them and the police retrieved one locally made pistol and a knife.

They were arrested and upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and will be put before court soon.
