General News Killed Ho Poly Student Was Casualty Of Mistaken Identity – Hostel Mates
DEC 1, 2015 LISTEN

Students at the hostel where a level 100 Ho Polytechnic fashion student was murdered Monday dawn, have said they are convinced the killer(s) confused her with her “promiscuous” roommate.

The body of Naomi Kpodzro, a first year HND female fashion student was found in a pool of blood by her mates on Monday dawn at 'Divine Star hostel’ - a private students residence - with knife and gunshot wounds on her body.

According to an account by one of her colleagues, a call made to the victim's phone was answered by the suspected killer who asked the caller to let the victim know that, “it's not every man's money you spend and go for free.”

This call gave a hint the murder was carried out by the victim’s jilted lover or sugar daddy.

But speaking to Starr News regional correspondent, Lambert Atsivor, some of the students staying in that hostel said Naomi who has only been at the hotel for less than two months is not known for “following men around for money or material things.”

Her roommate however “is like that,” they said.

The roommate whose identity has been shielded was not at the hostel at the time of the murder and has since not returned.

An assistant registrar in-charge of Public relations at the Polytechnic, Mr. Isaac Meyir who confirmed the incident to Starr News said the young lady was pronounced dead upon arrival at the regional Hospital in Ho.
