Ghanaians have the right to demand accountability - Nana Addo

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Presidential candidate of the NPP for 2016 has stated that Ghanaians have the right to demand accountability from the government and their expectation is that national resources will be used for the benefit of the people. He was speaking at the Annual Fundraising dinner/dance at the Boleyn Banqueting Suite in East London at which he was the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the teeming supporters, Nana Addo thanked members and sympathisers of the party for braving the cold and coming to the event. He also expressed appreciation to the executives of the NPP UK and the organising team for putting together such a well attended event.

Nana Addo stated the NPP will keenly contest every polling station in the 2016 elections. The party will also ensure vigilance at the polling station 'so we do not have the reoccurrence of twenty-seven zero as we experienced in the 2012 elections' he stated.

The NPP Presidential Candidate added that in 2016, the NPP will be taking its message of hope to all the villages and hamlets of Ghana. 'I am not afraid of hard work and I am itching to go' he added.

Nana Addo stated that the campaign team will be announced at the extraordinary conference to be held in Sunyani on 19/12/15 to demonstrate to the world that NPP is ready to take over and provide Ghanaians the honest leadership they deserve. 'The 2016 campaign is one for all NPP members' he added.

The NPP Presidential Candidate for election 2016 observed that Ghana is currently drowning in debts and that the NDC has stopped talking about corruption because if they did, they will choke. He called on all present to pray for the party, support all the structures of the party and stop inflaming matters from afar.

In his address Mr. Michael Ansah, Chairman of the NPP UK called on all to support the party's effort towards election 2016 by giving generously. The chairman of the finance committee, Mr Alex Dadey thanked all present for their commitment to the course of the party.

Nana Addo was accompanied to the function by Mrs. Rebecca Akufo Addo and Captain Emmanuel Koda. Other senior members of the party present at the function were; Hon Osafo Marfo, HE Dr. Adjei Bawuah, Hon Adwoa Safo, Hon Henry Kwabena Kokofu, current and past executives of the NPP UK branch.
