Dismissed PPP BA Executives Reinstated

THE five regional executives of the Progressive People's Party (PPP) who were sacked last week by the constituency chairmen in the Brong-Ahafo Region have been reinstated. This follows an amicable settlement of the issues raised by the chairmen.

Briefing DAILY GUIDE after a crunch meeting between the affected executives and five constituency chairmen from Jaman North, Berekum, Nkoranza, Wenchi and Sunyani  East, the Dormaa Central parliamentary candidate of the party, Samuel Okra, said the misunderstanding that led to the sacking of the executives had been resolved, and that the five persons were at post.

He said for instance the chairman, Seth Gormna, would only be called after his office hours or through text messages in order not to distract him with party issues.

Mr Samuel Okra added that in instances where the chairman cannot be reached, party affairs will be channeled through his vice or the organizer. According to him, strategies were already being drawn to let the electorate feel the presence of the party in the various constituencies.   Constituency chairmen, he claimed, had reaffirmed their confidence in all the regional executives.
