Pnc Wahala: Henry Asante Wants Bernard Monah Disqualified

Mr. Henry Asante, the Deputy Director of Communications of the People National Convention, PNC, who is also vying for the position of the first vice chairman of the party wants the current general secretary of the party, now vying for the chairmanship position, Mr. Bernard Monah disqualified.

In an interview with Mr. Asante on BREEZE NEWS, he said he has this information that Mr. Monah has been engaging himself in petit theft of the party’s money. In 2012, when they went for their primaries at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region, he had the information that Mr. Monah after issuing a cheque for the payment of his filing fee went for his money again simply because he was the general secretary and had access to the party’s finances. They (he and the two others petitioning the vetting committee) could not say much because they had no proof.

This time around, they wanted to get the proof so they laid down the necessary measures to monitor the process.

Mr. Bernard Monah on the 6^th of October filled for his nomination, and issued a cheque as usual from the Ghana Commercial Bank, with check number 00054 only for them to realize that, the check issued by Mr. Monah has bounced. They check their finances and realized through their investigations that, Mr. Monah’s money is not in their account.

He and two other people have petitioned the vetting committee to disqualify him per their constitution which state that, by 13^th of this month(November) and your filling fee is not received by the party you should be disqualified and also query him on the act.
