Diaspora (Germany) African Youth Education Awards -5th Anniversary Ceremony In Hamburg – Germany
NOV 15, 2015 LISTEN

Education has been the bedrock of all societies and is the worst thing to lack in the twenty first Century. Some hundred years ago, Parents were leaving landed properties to their kids as an inheritance; unfortunately when litigations strike and the kids lose such properties they revert to square one. However education is the legacy parents can give to their kids and it forever remains with them.

As such, Governments all over the World are putting huge budgets to train the young ones and mentor them to take up positions later on. Nonetheless, the governments cannot do it all alone, it is based on this assumption that Africa Youth Education AYEA Award was born to challenge black kids in Germany to unleash their full potential through learning of trade or higher education.

Among the goals championed by AYEA for its 5 years of existence are: Educational awareness among Africa/black Youth, motivating them to acquire higher education or learn trade, Celebrating Successful youth that finished a trade and providing role Models and mentors to guard them in their professional pursuit.

Also the AYEA program has been keen on encouraging Parents to be actively involved in professional development of their wards and best parents get the Rhensius-Krohn-AYE Award. Besides promoting education, the program serves as a Networking, Socializing and Integration platform for Africans/Blacks in Germany.

This years’ AYE AWARD is taking place on Saturday, 21 November 2015 Hamburg at the Albert - Schäfer -Saal in the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce “IHK” from 18.00 - 21.00 clock.

We are of the view that when we all shine in our little corners, the whole world will be bright; that said education cannot be relegated to the background.
