Baakoniaba Methodist Technical Institute Gets Two Storey_Building Classroom Block

The Municipal Chief Executive of Sunyani Municipal Assembly, Hon. Akwasi Oppong Ababio has led officials from the assembly to commission a 6-unit classroom storey_ building block for Methodist Technical Institute at Baakoniaba in the Brong Ahafo Region.

During the commissioning, the MCE of Sunyani stated that, the project was in fulfilment of a promise he made when he was appointed. According to him, the old block was not in good state for effective teaching and learning.

He said, a lot of people look down on technical schools and due to this perception, most parents hesitate to take their wards to technical schools, a situation he calls it should be a thing of the past.

Moreover, he emphasised they are introducing more schools in the municipality one in Penkwasi, New Dormaa and Baakoniaba.

The chief of Baakoniaba, Nana Yaw Boampong II expressed his appreciation to the MCE for coming to their aid. According to "Odikro", (Chief), people should build interest in technical education since it is a best way of creating jobs in the nation.
