Akyem Tafo traditional council has warned the public to desist from interfering in the activities of the contractor assigned to build structures for AME Zion senior high school(AMEZSS).

According to the council's spokesperson, Kwasi Peasah, some residents are trying to claim ownership of some portions of the land which is disrupting the work of the contractor.

"We are warning everyone to desist from from encroaching on the school land since the 35acre- land was given to them so many years ago of which has been documented" he added.

The school which has been operating in rented structures has over the years had problems but has now seen structures been put up by the government .

Mr. Peasah said the traditional council is suprised at the attitudes of those trying to claim ownership of the land as they have no basis.

"Anyone who has problem on the land should come and prove their case to the traditional council because we will not allow anyone to push away the development of this community" he emphasised.

In a related development, the traditional council has also warned landlords not to rent rooms to students within the community since the school is now benefiting from dormitory blocks built by the goverment.

He also warned the public to desist from defecating openely at the back of the community clinic and market because offenders will be dealt with when caught.
