United Partners for Puerto Rico Decolonization and InformaccionAlDesnudo are working to get the annual United Nations’ (UN) Puerto Rico decolonization hearing to be broadcasted live this June 2016. We want anyone interested in watching it to be able to do so no matter where you.

We believe that by getting out of the closet Puerto Rico’s colonial relationship, we could build the kind of international pressure necessary to make the United States (US) government comply with the 34 UN resolutions asking it to immediately decolonize Puerto Rico. The fact that Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and US President Obama has not liberated Puerto Rican political prisoner Oscar López Rivera despite unanimous world consensus to do so, illustrates that the US government wants to maintain Puerto Rico its colony forever!

The first governor of Puerto Rico elected by Puerto Ricans, Luis Muñoz Marin, believed that Puerto Rico could progress without decolonizing herself. What has happened is the opposite of what he said in this video. Click on the following link to see the video where he explains how that would happen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVwiv-g7KiI

This campaign has 3 components. We are asking the United Nations, the Puerto Rico government and the general public to be a part of this effort.

We have already sent communications to almost all of the ambassadors of the nearly 200 countries represented by the UN to make proposals at the UN General Assembly for the UN to broadcast live the June 2016 hearing. We have not received any reply thus far.

We have already sent communications to the presidents of both the Senate and the House of Representative of the Puerto Rico government asking them for a meeting to discuss our proposal to use the government TV and radio stations to broadcast the hearing. Since we have heard nothing from them thus far, we have sent communications to other representatives asking them to meet with us.

Since the UN and the government of Puerto Rico have ignored us so far, we are making preparations to broadcast this hearing ourselves. We don’t know whether the UN, or the Puerto Rico government will broadcast this hearing next year, but we do know that we will be broadcasting the June 2016 UN hearing on Puerto Rico decolonization via InformacionAlDesnudo.

It is up to us to decolonize ourselves. We can’t wait for others who are not being exploited by colonialism to do it for us. If you want to help InformacionAlDesnudo continue informing the public about what others want to hide, please go to www.InformacionAlDesnudo.com and make whatever donation you can. We will appreciate that!

Join the 2016 Oscar – Mandela March on the same day of the June 2016 UN hearing. We will march from Hunter College to the UN. This march is permanent on the same day of this hearing, because those who maintain colonies don’t believe in JUSTICE FOR ALL!
