The Young Professionals & Youth Coalition (YPYC) have shortlisted Dentaa for the Young Professional Role Model Award 2015 (Female Category). This nomination for such an acclaimed and hotly-contested award indicated the strides Dentaa has made to-date, exhibiting exemplary leadership, professionalism, and a level of hard work which inspires young people in Ghana and the diaspora.

This nomination also recognises Dentaa’s contributions to young Ghanaians, and national development, which have been acknowledged by young Ghanaian professionals nationwide.

This is the seventh time that this award has been presented. A keenly contested and fiercely competitive award of annual leadership excellence, the YPYC Young Professional Role Model Award was initially instituted by the leadership of YPYC in 2009 to recognise and honour the heroes and exemplary leaders who serve as role-models to young Ghanaian professionals.

Dentaa will receive this award on Friday 23rd October 2015 at the Accra International Conference Centre during the 2015 Transformational Leadership Conference, with the Vice President of Ghana His Excellency Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur invited to be present during proceedings as the Special Guest of Honour.

By receiving this award, Ms. Amoateng finds herself in prestigious and highly-acclaimed company. There have been many high-profile personalities who have received this honorary award from the YPYC such as John Kufour (ex-President of the Republic of Ghana), the late Komla Afeke Dumor, Premier League footballer Andre ‘Dede’ Ayew and His Excellency John Dramini Mahama (current President of the Republic of Ghana), to name a few.

Dentaa Amoateng is a multi-award-winning British Ghanaian entrepreneur, actress, TV presenter, singer, producer and manager best known for founding the hugely-successful Ghanaian UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards which recognises the achievements of individuals and organisations "positively contributing to the Ghanaian community in the UK or Ghana”.

On her nomination for such a prestigious award, Dentaa commented “I am thrilled, honoured and deeply humbled to be invited to be in such prestigious company by receiving this momentous award. It is always a pleasure to have one’s efforts recognised. However, the most important thing is that our community at large continues to strive for excellence in order to inspire our Ghanaian youth to aspire for the stars and beyond and continue to make our nation great & strong.”
