Accra, Oct. 13, GNA - MTN Ghana, has been adjudged the Overall Best Organisation in Human Resource (HR) Practice in Ghana for the second time at the HR Focus Awards, 2015.

MTN Ghana also emerged the Best Organisation in Recruitment and Selection for showing, Best Practice in HR Information Systems before topping it up with the Overall Best Organization in HR Practice in Ghana for showing the best practice in all aspects of HR Management.

The HR Awards is organised by the HR Focus Magazine every two years to identify, recognise and honour organisations that have built up the tradition of best practices in human resource management.

A statement issued in Accra by Mrs Cynthia Lumor, Corporate Services Executive said in its maiden edition in 2013, MTN was adjudged the Overall Best Organisation in Human Resource Practice.

It said the criteria for selecting the overall winner was based on standards that conform to best HR practice and a demonstrated history and strong evidence of best HR management.

The statement said the company competed with 43 organizations for 10 awards at the HR Focus Awards and was the only organisation to have been nominated as finalist in all 10 categories.

Mrs Amma Benneh-Amponsah, MTN Ghana HR Executive, dedicated the awards to all employees of MTN, saying: 'I wish to say thank you to all MTN staff for making this possible and to assure you of MTN's continuous commitment to improvement in people practices and benchmarking, both locally and internationally.'

MTN Ghana has also been awarded the Investors in People Gold accreditation, joining the top 7 per cent of accredited organisations across the United Kingdom.
