Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management has unveiled its range of products and services for the Ghanaian market. The global supplier of authentic energy management solutions says it is committed to providing solutions in four key areas. They include; energy, industry, data and finance, and building.

The Country President of Schneider Electric Anglophone West Africa, Walid Sheta, said the company has developed a new range of solutions suited for the local market which comes with economic benefits and the quality Schneider Electric is renowned for.

“We are committed to offering complete energy solutions globally with our diversified products and services for all needs in our category of business. We are ready to provide full energy solutions for hotels and businesses, as well as residential areas and factories” he said.

According to Mr Sheta, the price of energy in Africa still remains the main reason preventing people from exploring more efficient energy alternatives, and that not much effort is being made to reduce energy consumption. “The freedom for people to use energy will make people look for efficient options like Schneider Electric’s. “If people see the real cost of energy then they will look for alternatives to bring down cost and consequently, Schneider Electric becomes the preferred option for reducing that cost” Mr Sheta noted.

Schneider Electric also reiterated its commitment to build capacity of local engineers. The Country President noted that Schneider Electric is investing in the most important resource - people. “We are investing in recruiting people to increase our capacity in Ghana. We will also introduce initiatives to train engineers, we want to make sure our local partners and counterparts are up to scale” he noted.

The Country Leader for Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone, Liviu Curechian, noted that Schneider Electric seeks to distinguish itself with trusted and reliable line of products and services. “The quality and reliability of our products and the fact that we are looking beyond products to providing solutions makes us different from others. Whatever we are putting in place, we are putting the right solutions based on the full range and innovation we are bringing to the market which we believe cannot be matched” he stated.

Mr. Liviu, however noted that while counterfeiting remains one of the major challenges in Africa, Schneider Electric is seriously tackling the problem in order to cushion the effects on its customers. According to Mr Liviu, “This problem is about safety; it will cause accidents and even lead to loss of lives.

We will help people differentiate between genuine products and counterfeits because safety is everything. This initiative will not only protect people, it will also ensure that people benefit from buying genuine Schneider Electric products”.
