An NGO based in Cape Coast known as HELP foundation has donated to some needy students at Ankaful M/A Junior High School as part of activities marking the 2015 world mental health day. Some of the items donated included Textbooks, Exercise books, school uniforms and Boxes of chalk.

In an interview with the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Onipanua Hukporty Derrick, said the donation was necessary to assist the needy students in the school to have a sound mental health to study.

”Most often students fail their exams not because they are not brilliant but rather because the motivation and materials needed to study are not available. We have therefore accepted the responsibility to cater for 20 needy students from the school until they successfully write their Basic Education Certificate Exams”.

Mr. Onipanua went on to advice philanthropists and other benevolent organizations to desist from the act of looking for brilliant but needy studentss before giving assistance rather give equal chances to all so that needy students can also become brilliant.
