A National Democratic Congress(NDC) Parliamentary aspirant for Klottey Korle constituency, Dr. Zanetor Rawlings says meaningful development for the people will be a mirage, if Parliamentarians fail to join forces with other corporate groups within their enclave to improve the lives of the constituents.

She insisted, Members of Parliament ought to connect to corporate institutions in their jurisdiction to enable solve most of the social gaps in the communities.

Zanetor Rawlings says MPs need not to solely depend on Consolidated Fund to be able to initiate development for the people, saying this explains for the reason why more communities are lagging behind in terms of development.

Speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Dr. Rawlings indicated that ” we have a lot going on in the constituencies in terms of corporate; we have most of the banks, telcos, radio stations and other entities in the constituencies, and one has to be a little bit imaginative in terms of where to get funding for community development.”

Dr. Zanetor who is the first child of former President Jerry John Rawlings is seeking to upstage the incumbent Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Nii Armah Ashietey who is also a former Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, to become the new MP for the area in 2017.

She is currently embarking on vigorous campaign activities and holding several engagements with the constituents to ensure that she snatches the seat.
