Globacom's Useless Profligacy And Its Copiously Poor Network In Ghana

As l commend Glo for their hospitality and kind gesture for a reported gifts of cars given to Nigerian Musician, P- Square, l pray l do not incur the wrath of many subscribers of the Glo network in Ghana. The gifts of 2015 G- Wagon and Range Rover, 2015 is no mean a gift to the International music duo. I congratulate them on the display of true spirit in making us feel proud about them. This is a feather in their cup.

However, l find it it very strange that out of many musicians in both Nigeria and Ghana, P-Square is the only accorded this recognition and appreciation.

It is no doubt that P- Square have been all time good musicians who have thrilled fans and the whole world with some nice tunes.

I am handicapped to know why Glo gave them such platinum of gifts. As a subscriber to the network, l feel l must know it. Meanwhile, their counterparts - Glo Ambassadors in Ghana are up against Glo in court for their failure to redeem their contractual agreement. Their personality endorsement and associations with Glo in outdoor events have not been properly catered for.

For a long time, these ambassadors have had their hopes dashed and shuttered due to unpaid allowances. I am still using Glo network not because l am enjoying any better service. I am only patronising the network for purposes of my friends knowing the Glo line for quite sometime now.

Glo was the first network l ever acquired when l was in the city. Coming to my daddy 's home town regarding the quality of the network is indeed worse off.

I always have to climb to reach the hills before l can make calls and hang my phone on the roof before l can receive calls.

This is not an attempt to undermine our relationship. I believe Glo has responsibility towards its thousand customers than P- Square. Spending such colossal amounts of money to buy cars to give to the artistes is out of order and a misplacedpriority. It will be more prudent and reasonable if Glo invested in the network quality and network expansion.

Glo is only trying to create good impression in the public gallery but have nothing to write home about. Charity they say begins at home. It could have chosen to invest in the lives of people than this needless show of wealth.

They should simply learn from MTN and Vodafone. They are committed to the wellbeing of the people. It is a pity to say that l feel much ashamed that Glo always want to play a smart one on unsuspecting customers. This show off is not sustainable...they should rather invest in human capital and social responsibility projects.

The future is indeed bleak for any business entity that engages in flamboyant display of careless opulence. Other networks are working with the government in providing social amenities and social infrastructure.

This P- Square presentation is ill-conceived and does not make any good story. It is a propoganda, gimmickry and mere media racketti. Customers like me would wish to stand proud and stand out with them. We are losing out in the competition. Long live Glo, long live Ghana!!
