Accra, Oct. 9, GNA - President John Dramani Mahama on Friday inaugurated an ultra-modern court complex at a ceremony in Accra.

The court complex made up 42 courtrooms, would house the 10 land courts, 10 commercial courts, six criminal courts, six general jurisdiction court, three divorce and matrimonial courts, two financial and economic courts, two human rights courts, two labour courts and a Probate and Administration court.

The court complex has banking facilities cafeteria, 300- seater auditorium, library, a business centre and a media centre.

Press briefing room, Executive office for the Attorney General and Police Prosecutor and a data centre among others.

Late President John Evans Atta Mills four years ago cut the sod for the construction of the complex to replace the dilapidated courts known as the cocoa affairs Court.

It constructions marks the first for the judiciary had been housed since 1940. Social Security and National Insurance Trust provided funding of the complex.

Inaugurating the complex; President Mahama said that any persons found culpable in the Anas Video would face the law.

'I wish to assure Ghanaians and the international community that the law will take its course in the Anas Video,' the President stressed.

President Mahama said government remains committed in the fight against corruption hence its bid to strengthen anti- corruption institutions.

He called for more education and prevention of corruption in the society.

President Mahama also commended the Chief Justice for swift action taken in respect of the implicated judges in the Anas Video, adding that her office also did not waste time in giving the judiciary the green light to commence investigation among the indicted judges.

The President said those actions showed that institutions in the country are working.

He said the Judiciary, Executive and Legislature are not above the law.

He expressed confidence that the judges after the Anas expose will come out stronger and more robust in the dispensation of justice.

President Mahama lauded the efforts of some outstanding judges who have carried out their work on the continent there by putting Ghana on higher pedestal, adding, despite the Anas Expose, there are more judges who have high sense of integrity and high morals.

The President appealed to the judiciary to put to good use the new complex in their bid to ensure speedy and fair trial among the public.
