Medie-Kotoku (G/R), Oct. 9, GNA - The management of the Twellium Industrial Company Limited, producers of Rush Energy Drink, Planet Flavors, Bubble Up, American Cola and Verna Mineral Water, says the products are wholesome, healthy and energetic.

The company noted that a negative message about Rush is being circulated on the social media particularly whatsapp.

Mr Mohamad Kawtharani, the General Managing of the company who was addressing a news conference on Thursday, said the industry is a health-conscious, law-abiding and environmental-friendly business entity that places the health of its customers above everything.

He said; 'Because of this, we have always followed laid down guidelines and standards in the manufacturing of all our products, including Rush Energy, which is widely enjoyed by many people across the country.'

Mr Kwatharani said the Twellium excessive commitment to industry standards has made it possible for Monarch Beverages in the US to grant franchise rights to use their brand names to operate in Ghana.

'This arrangement also makes it possible for our production lines and safety procedures to be subjected to frequent audits by this world-renowned food and Beverage Company in the US,' he said.

The General Manager, therefore, said it is impossible for their products to be compromised as the message on whatsapp is purported.

'We see it as a hoax aimed at tarnishing the image of Rush and Twellium, which is creating employment for thousands of people nationwide.'

The company, therefore, called on consumers of Rush and the good people of Ghana in general to continue to enjoy their favorite brands, which are proudly made in Ghana with local resources and by Ghanaian workforce.

Mr Kwatharani said the Rush Energy Drink is registered with the various regulatory institutions and its registrations are up to date.

It has been certified by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) as a wholesome product, good for health and vitality.

Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, Ga West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), speaking after going round the factory before the news conference at Medie-Kotoku in the municipality appealed to companies in the area to register their industries with the FDA.

He also called on them to liaise regularly with the media to report on the good things they are doing for the country to prevent unscrupulous people from destroying them.

Mr Quaye commended the management of the Twellium Industrial Company Limited for establishing the factory in the area which had created job opportunities for the youth.

He urged the factory-hands and staff to eschew laziness and to take their duties seriously for the economic growth of the country and the company as a whole.
