Accra, Oct. 8, GNA - The management of the Labadi Beach Hotel is to improve on effective customer service delivery to better the needs of its clientele.

Mr Michael Rathgeb, the New General Manager of the Hotel, speaking at a welcome cocktail event in Accra, said management would continue the training sessions for customer service executives to place them in a better position to meet client demands.

'We will focus more on our customers and listen to their needs,' he added.

He said the hotel, which has built a strong reputation in the hospitality industry, would continue to provide the needed leadership to help develop the tourism sector.

He said the hospitality industry needed more skilled personnel to provide services to meet the growing number of demands,and urged young people to take up the opportunity to develop themselves to fit into those positions.

The New General Manager said Ghana had a lot of potential and as a new leader of the hotel, he would look at harnessing the prospects for the development of the hospitality industry.

He said Ghana needed to market and promote its hospitality and tourism potential to the rest of the world, saying that, 'I will use my experience to improve on the strength of the hotel and the Ghanaian hospitality industry.

He called on management and staff to provide the needed support to maintain the hotel as one of the only two five star Hotels in the country.

The hotel's success in the last nine years was highly attributed to having a well experienced management team, which was spearheaded by Mr Adrian Landry, the outgoing General Manager.

Mr Rathgeb is an accomplished General Manager in the hotel business and has a proven track record in driving top line revenue and bottom-line performance.

Before joining Labadi Beach Hotel, he worked as the General Manager for several Radisson Blue hotels, which include Radisson Blue Hotel Anchorage (Lagos, Nigeria), Radisson Blue Hotel Waterfront, (Cape Town South Africa), Radisson Blue Hotel Bristol and Radisson SAS Hotel (Krakow, Poland).

He has also worked for the Hilton Hotel, the Sheraton Hotel and the Intercontinental Hotel respectively across 15 countries.
