TV3's PRESENTER, Odelia Ofoli who got married recently, escaped death in an accident that occurred at the Bunso roundabout in the Eastern Region with two other staff of the station Thursday afternoon.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the accident occurred when a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the Geological Survey Department – with registration number GV 51-14 – on which she and her other colleagues were travelling to Sunyani collided with a Hyundai Grace mini bus.

Two persons who were on board the Hyundai Grace with registration number ER 649-14, reportedly died on the spot while 10 others who sustained various degrees of injury, are currently receiving treatment at the Osiem Hawa Memorial Hospital.

Odelia and his crew were unhurt but sustained some minor injuries and were rushed to the Koforidua Government Hospital for medical care.

They were travelling with the Director of the Geological Survey Department, Professor Duodo, to Sunyani to commission the                    Brong-Ahafo Regional office of the Department today (Friday).

Some drivers who spoke to DAILY GUIDE at the scene described the place as a hot spot for accidents and called on the government to do something about the roundabout.

'We urge government to take a second look at the roundabout; there must be policemen stationed here to direct traffic. We've seen a lot of accidents happening here. The road markings at the roundabout have all faded and must be done as soon as possible,' the Bunso Junction GPRTU secretary, Kojo Asamani, urged.

When DAILY GUIDE contacted Odelia Ofoli to narrate what happened, she refused to talk.

The mangled vehicles were at the scene at the time of filing this report.
