MTN  Made For Friends Advert Emerge As Print Advert Of The Year

MTN Ghana’s“Made for Friends” advert has been adjudged the Print Advert of the Year 2014 at a recently held awards event organised by CIMG. The Made for Friends campaign was run in 2014 to demonstrate MTN’s ability to seamlessly connect friends on the fastest and widest 3.75G network in Ghana.

The message of staying connected on the widest 3.75G network was clearly sent across in the ad as a portion of the citation read “...and with a compelling consumer insight of always staying connected whenever and wherever, MTN successfully deployed a creative that emotionally connected virtual and copy to convey its proposition as a lifestyle enabler in the print execution ‘Made for Friends’.”

The award was received on behalf of MTN by MTN’s Brands Manager, Mr Eli Kpodo who said,“MTN Ghana appreciates the recognition by CIMG which affirms the assertion that MTN is driven by a desire to connect with its more than 15 million customers in the best and innovative ways possible as it leads in the delivery of a bold new digital world.

Also commenting on the awards, the Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Mr Noel Ganson, said the award is a testimony to MTN’s commitment to enable customers to nurture relationships by using technology to stay connected. He said, “As the leading telco and Ghana’s network of choice, we see it as our duty to bring the benefits of technology to our customers in a way that helps them to optimise opportunities for staying in touch. With relationship as one of our own core values, we understand the positive impact that can be generated by giving customers meaningful opportunities to stay connected, everywhere they go.”

The CIMG National Marketing Performance Awards is a high-profile event that acknowledges individuals and organizations for marketing excellence and innovation. The awards seek among other things, to promote high professional standards and to encourage excellence among marketing practitioners. It also aims at ensuring the provision ofhigh quality products and services.This year’s event was under the theme “The Future of Marketing- Evolve or Die.”

MTN Ghana dedicates this award to its over 15 million customers across the country.
