Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the prices of their petroleum products to woo more consumers owing to the implementation of the deregulation policy.
In recent times, some Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have been touting their products as the cheapest on the market.
However, a visit to some filling stations indicated that Quantum Petroleum currently sells the cheapest petroleum products on the market.
When BUISNESS GUIDE visited the company's filling stations on October 1, 2015, petrol (super) was selling at GH¢2.78 per litre while diesel was going for GH¢2.68 a litre.
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on June 16, 2015 allowed all OMCs to set their own ex-pump prices for petroleum products.
The pricing by the OMCs is in conformity with the full implementation of NPA's petroleum product price deregulation.
The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana (COPEC) has been releasing price charts to ensure that consumers make the right choices.
