The Chief and peoole of Akyem Amonom in the Atiwa west constituency of the Eastern region have threatened to ban any political activity in the community ahead of the 2016 general elections .
This is due to their disappointment in the District Chief Executive(DCE), Hon. Emmanuel Atta Twum and the Member Of Parliament (MP), Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta for failing to assist inn the construction of the only Junior High school in the community despite numerous appeal.
The chief, Barima Padie lll at a press conference, said the community has over the years not benefited from any development project from the assembly
"Both the MP and the DCE refused to help us build the only JHS block eventhough we were ready to assist with free labour and water supply" the chief hinted.
Barima Padie lll however said the community has been able to put up a wooden structure which is now been used by students.
"I and my people are still doing our best to carry out our own developmental projects" he added.
