Modern Auto Services Supports Otumfuo Foundation

Modern Auto Services Limited (MAS) has presented a brand new Foton pickup to the Otumfuo Charity Foundation to facilitate its activities.

The donation, according to the company, would further strengthen the cooperation between MAS and the educational segment of the Foundation.

Currently some selected beneficiaries of the foundation are being trained at MAS in auto engineering and supply chain management.

A delegation from MAS, led by the General Manager, Amine Kabbara, was present at the Manhyia Palace last Sunday during the Akwasidae festival to pay homage to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and also hand over the pickup to the Foundation.

Her Royal highness, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, received the vehicle on behalf of the Foundation.

Briefing the media on the visit, Mr. Kabbara said the donation was fulfillment of the company's pledge to support the Otumfuo Charity Foundation to provide skills training programmes for the youth in the Ashanti Region.

'Such decision formed part of the company's corporate social responsibility targeted at supporting the needy especially the youth to acquire requisite skills to gain gainful employment,' he said.

Mr. Kabbara revealed that six of the youth who are beneficiaries of the Foundation are undergoing training in auto engineering and supply chain at MAS head office in Accra.

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Foundation, Lady Julia Osei Tutu thanked MAS for the support and called on corporate bodies to emulate the shining example to ensure that education is properly supported to safeguard the future of the youth.
