E/R: Robber Gunned Down By Residents At Larbikrom

Residents of Larbikrom in the Kwabirbirem District of the Eastern region have shot dead a suspected armed robber in the area.

The deceased, “Kwabenaburgar”, is believed to have stolen sacks of cocoa beans belonging to Olam Company Limited, a cocoa buying firm in the area .

He was reportedly beaten and shot by the angry residents in the community who caught him in the cocoa shed.

An eyewitness who confirmed the incident to Starr News said the residents took the action because the Police have failed to act on the numerous complaints filed against the deceased.

Meanwhile, Police in the area say they are investigating the incident.
