The Agona Swedru District Police Command is seriously hunting for two friends—Kofi Ayigbe and his accomplice only known  as Wiper—who allegedly conspired and killed  a 30-year-old mason, Michael Quainoo, at Ankyease, a suburb of Swedru in the Central Region.

The two, who are currently on the run, allegedly stabbed Quainoo, popularly known as Paa Kwao, with a pair of scissors.

Quainoo died shortly after arriving at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital and his body was deposited at the same hospital's morgue for autopsy while police investigate the matter.

The Divisional Police Commander, DSP Paul Wesley Baah, gave the information to journalists at Swedru in the Agona West Municipality.

DSP Baah stated that the police had declared the two suspects wanted and appealed to the general public to assist in arresting them.

He said the police have scanty information about the brawl between the deceased and the two suspects, adding that the police are doing everything possible to unravel any mystery behind the killing of Quainoo.

The Police Commander hinted that on September 15, 2015 at about 4:30 pm, a brawl ensued between the two suspects and the deceased and in the process, Kofi Ayigbe picked a pair of scissors from a nearby shoe mender's shop and stabbed Quainoo.

He added that this happened after Quainoo allegedly hit the head of Ayigbe with a piece of wood that caused a deep cut on the head.

DSP Baah disclosed that Ayigbe saw that blood was oozing from his head and went for the scissors and stabbed Quainoo.
