NDC Members Are Being Amazingly Irrational Over George Boateng’s Challenge To President Mahama

I am lost for words to express how ridiculously shocking I find NDC’s reaction towards one George Boateng. This gentleman, a member of the NDC family, is resolutely determined to challenge President Mahama for the upcoming NDC flagbearership. He claims to be able to perform much better than President Mahama if elected the NDC presidential candidate to contest, and finally wins, the 2016 presidential election.

For his mere declaration and determination, of course matched by practical efforts, to unseat President Mahama as the leader of NDC, many within the NDC family have psychologically gone insane. They are not only casting aspersions on him, but also, calling his mental soundness into question. Some are daring him, questioning his credentials and wherewithal to contest President Mahama.

In order not to spend much of my precious time fruitlessly on all those within NDC lambasting the said Mr George Boateng for honestly exercising his human rights as a citizen of Ghana, and unfortunately, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), I will tell or ask them the following:

1.Are they happy about the governance style adopted by President Mahama; conspicuously practicing selective justice, nepotism, tribalism, official corruption and above all, mismanaging the country in all facets of her socio-politico-economic affairs as never witnessed in her life before?

2. Is it not President Mahama who has himself written in his book that since his infancy he has never been able to take any rational decisions himself, or on his own?

3. Is it not President Mahama who sarcastically claims to be a “dead goat”, meaning he does not care about whatever Ghanaians say about him, being incompetent, lost in the political arena, clueless and insatiably greedy as he is?

Will any person with compassion for Ghanaians, knows what they are doing, able to take intelligent decisions, not corrupt, just and fair, politically knowledgeable, etc., not perform better than President Mahama?

Would Ghanaians and Ghana not be better off without President Mahama at the presidency? If they would, why then are some people, especially the NDC members, raining insults and curses on one George Boateng for boldly declaring to challenge President Mahama for not only the party’s flagbearership, but also, the presidency?

I think all those insulting George Boateng for taking such a bold step in the right direction are rather ignorant and are unknowingly the fools but not George. Do they want Ghanaians to continue to suffer as they are currently under President Mahama?
