Francis Dodovi
A LEADING member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Francis Dodovi, picked forms on Monday to contest the Suame NDC primaries, with a firm promise to snatch the Suame seat for the NDC in 2016.

He pointed out that after nearly two decades in the august House, the reigning MP of Suame, Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who is also the minority leader, had woefully failed to bring the needed transformation to the Suame constituency.

He said he was therefore coming into the race to unseat the minority leader and implement the needed policies in order to help better the lives of the people of the constituency.

'Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has failed the people of Suame constituency big time for almost 20 years now, and I am coming to unseat him and lead the people in the constituency to affluence, starting from 2016.

'The minority leader has become complacent because he thinks that the Suame seat is the bonafide property of the NPP so whether he performs or not he will still win the seat so far as he contests the race on the ticket of the NPP.

'But I will hand him the biggest shock of his entire political career during the upcoming parliamentary elections at Suame in 2016,' Dodovi, who was followed by a massive crowd of NDC faithful in Suame, stated.

Messi vs Ronaldo
According to Dodovi, he has heard that Hon Mensah Bonsu has claimed he is the Lionel Messi of the constituency, adding, 'and I will show him in 2016 that I am the Ronaldo of Suame.'

He bemoaned the lack of development in Suame in the areas of toilet and educational facilities, among other mountainous challenges facing the people, and promised to offer the needed leadership to bring total development to the area as MP.

Dodovi, a trained journalist with several years of experience in the media landscape in Kumasi, was hopeful that he would surmount any competition in the upcoming NDC primaries, stating categorically that 'I am winning hands down.'

According to the former worker of Solid Fm and Boss Fm in Kumasi, scores of NDC faithful in Suame, who are aware of his experience in politics, hardworking and development-oriented nature, appealed to him to lead the NDC in Suame in 2016.

Dodovi, who was a member of the 2012 NDC campaign team, charged NDC members in the constituency to remain united and approach the 2016 elections with oneness.

He stated that he would work tirelessly so as to ensure that the NDC's votes in Suame would be increased significantly in 2016 so that the party's dream of amassing one million votes in the Ashanti Region would be realised.

Executives' Remarks
Dodovi, who is also the Suame constituency organiser of the NDC, was accompanied to the party's office by Appiah Stadium, Nana Mensah Bonsu, aka Atiki, Ade Napoleon, Kromo and Reagan.

Amadu Ali, the constituency chairman, praised Dodovi for the flamboyant manner in which he and his supporters stormed the party's office to pick the forms, noting that 'Dodovi can help the NDC snatch the Suame seat from the NPP.'

Nurudeen Haroun, the Suame constituency secretary, who handed the forms to Dodovi, admonished people who are interested in the Suame NDC seat to campaign in a decorous manner to ensure party peace and unity.
