Akufo-Addo begins 'rise and build tour'

The 2016 presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will embark on a month-long tour of the country to touch base with the party.

The tour which starts from Thursday, September 3, 2015 is preceding the commencement of the campaign for the 2016 general elections.

Dubbed the ‘Rise and Build Tour’, Nana Akufo-Addo will meet up with regional executives, constituency executives, and aspirants in the NPP parliamentary primaries, both winners and losers, in every region he visits.

“This is to prepare the party for a campaign that hopes to energise Ghanaians to help build and restore Ghana onto a path of progress and prosperity,” a statement signed by Nana Akufo-Addo’s Press Secretary Eugene Arhin said.

The Volta Region will be Nana Akufo-Addo’s first point of call, followed by the Eastern Region and the three Northern Regions. He will then proceed to other regions yet to be announced.

Nana Akufo-Addo will be accompanied on the tour by his running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; Policy Advisor, Boakye Agyarko; former Minister of State, Elizabeth Ohene; National Organiser, John Boadu; National Women’s Organiser, Otiko Afisa Djaba; Political Assistant, Francis Asenso-Boakye; Press Secretary, Eugene Arhin; and Campaign Aides, Iddrisu Musah ‘Superior’ and Pius Hadzide.
