Director of Feeder Roads at the Roads Ministry, Ibrahim Seidu is accusing Tamale Central constituency executives in the Northern region of deliberately sabotaging his efforts to contest his boss, the Roads Minister, Inusah Fuseini.

According to him, per the party’s guidelines, a person seeking parliamentary or presidential office needs to get endorsement from a branch executive of each polling station before he can file for nominations.

But to his shock he says all the executives at the branches were ask to present their membership cards to the constituency executives.

"It has made it difficult for me to get by my nomination endorsed by the branch executives” Alhaji Seidu told Joy News.

This in his view, is to favour the incumbent MP Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who has held the seat since winning a bye-election there in 2006.

Alhaji Seidu expressed surprise at the turn of events because he says his relationship with his boss has been is very cordial.

Meanwhile efforts to get constituency executives of the party to respond to the accusation have proved futile.

The party opened nominations last week Thursday with a number of key figures in the region picking forms to contest as the party prepares for its November 7 parliamentary primaries.

There was a mad rush for nomination forms on the opening day of nominations for parliamentary primaries in the ruling NDC.

A shortage of forms hit five constituencies in the Northern region - Bimbila, Kpandai, Savelugu, Yendi and Tamale North constituencies.
