All Nigerian Community, the umbrella body managing the affairs of Nigerians in Ghana, has renounced a group it says is trying to create confusion among its members.

The group which calls itself Heads of Nigerians Communities, being led by Prince Emmanuel Okeson, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ANC and Green Ndume as ANC Secretary, was in the media last week asking the public to disregard the ANC-GH disclaimers against them.

The leaders who had reportedly signed the release included Alhaji Hakeem Maigida for Yoruba Community, Chief Nelson Okon for South South Community, Deacon Alex Chukwu for Igbo Community and Mallam Seidu Hamidu for Arewa Community respectively.

They had said in the release that the publications made against the two leading officers were not 'factual and were ill-conceived to tarnish the image of Messrs Okeson and Ndume.'

However, ANC-GH Executive President, Moses Okeoghene Timothy Ohwaro, said in a news release yesterday that Messrs Okeson and Ndume have ceased to work with the ANC-GH since October 2013 and October 2014 respectively.

A disclaimer signed by Mr Ohwaro against Mr Okeson read in part that 'Mr Prince Emmanuel Okeson is no more the BoT Chairman of the ANC-GH since the dissolution of the former Board of Trustees and Patrons on October 1, 2013, by His Excellency Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan, the Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana as provided in the ANC-GH constitution.'

According to Mr Ohwaro, a new constitution was approved and adopted by the national delegates congress of the ANC-GH and signed into law by the president of the ANG-GH on May 20, 2014, replacing an election guideline that was used during the September 21, 2013 elections which he claimed was 'erroneously' referred to as constitution.

The president also signed another disclaimer against Mr Ndume and said he was 'impeached' as secretary of the ANC-GH in 2014.

'The national delegates' congress sitting in Accra on October 10, 2014 unanimously impeached Green Ndume for gross misconduct, unmanageable character, conniving and peddling falsehood, insubordination and total disrespect to the leadership of the ANC-GH,' the disclaimer claimed.

Mr Ohwaro said Mr Ndume as a result was banned five years within which he said, 'He shall not participate in ANC-GH meetings and activities and those who entertain him shall be liable for sanctions.'

'This so-called Heads of Nigerian Communities in Ghana is a fictitious association not recognised within the framework of the ANC-GH,' he said.

'We are, therefore, notifying the general public that anyone engaging in any business transaction with the two on behalf of  the ANC-GH does so at his/her own risk.'
