Radio presenter contest for Awukugua Assembly seat

Koforidua, Aug. 27, GNA - Mr Frank Kwabi, known in media circles as Apesemakahene Kwaku Dawuro and an employee of Koforidua based radio station Emak FM is aspiring for the Awukugua Electoral Area seat in the Akuapem-North Municipality in the upcoming District Assembly elections.

He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that, he has served the community in various capacities and believes it is time to become an assemblyman to help foster development in the area.

Mr Kwabi, immediate past Unit Committee secretary said, if he gets the nod, he will form farmers associations to assist them to secure loans from banks and seek assistance from Agriculture Extension Officers to help improve their methods of farming.

He said transparency, accountability and development would be his hallmark during his tenure of office and hope to re-brand Awukugua to attract investors.

As part of efforts to revive sports in the area, through the youth, he has donated three sets of jerseys, certificates and cartoons of water, amounting to GH¢ 2,000 to the players, who took part in the Dawuro invitational Tournament.

Mr Kwabi is contesting with two other male aspirants for the Awukugua Electoral Area seat.
