Kokofu-Kurase installs new chief

Kurase (Ash), Sept. 30, GNA - A 40 year-old transport owner has been installed as Odikro (chief) of Kurase near Kokofu in the Amansie East District of Ashanti.

Mr Samuel Kwaku Bio, who now goes by the stool name Nana Sarfo Kantanka 11, succeeded his late uncle who died about 12 years ago. Swearing the oath of allegiance before Barima Offe Akwasi Okogyeasuo 11, Omanhene of Kokofu traditional area, Nana Sarfo Kantanka pledged his willingness to serve the Kokofu stool and his people. He called for assistance from his people to be able to bring development to the town.

Barima Offe Akwasi Okogyeasuo asked the people to give their new chief all the support necessary to make his reign a success but not to leave him midstream.

He told them that it was only when they gave him their support that they could jointly develop the town.
