The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is saddened by the death of Ghanaian Times reporter, Samuel Nuamah, in the tragic accident involving the Presidential Press Corps returning from an official assignment in the Volta Region on August 20,2015.

Samuel Nuamah was one of the finest professionals in Ghanaian journalism. His untimely death is therefore an irreparable loss.

The Foundation is equally grieved by the injuries sustained by the other journalists involved.

Our deepest condolences go to the bereaved family, the New Times Corporation and the Ghanaian media fraternity as a whole. Our prayers are also with the surviving victims and we wish them a speedy recovery.
