NDC South London Youth Wing Marks International Youth Day

The engagement and participation of the youth is essential in achieving a sustainable human, social, economical and political development. The involvement of youth in political and social decisions has increased for the past decade. The percentage of youth in leadership positions has increased across the world and continue to increase as time goes on.

Various Youth Programmes that has been implemented by various governments, have seen tremendous improvement in the lives of the youth in Ghana. Some programmes are ; youth in agriculture, youth in ICT, youth in road works, youth in hairdressing and many more as well as Youth Employment Agency Act that was passed into law.

The successful implementation of the YOUTH ENTERPRISE SUPPORT {YES} programme of which will enable the youth to be employers more than employees was one of the visions of the president H.E John Dramani Mahama for the youth of Ghana, this programme has seen the first batch of 107 beneficiaries and it's open for any youth aged between 18 to 35 years across the country.

This programme has become one of the best youth programmes implemented across the African continent and the world as a whole.The London south youth wing congratulate the president H.E John Dramani Mahama for his phenomenal youth programmes.

The London south youth wing want to use this opportunity to thank past governments and leaders for their contribution to youth development and also the youth of Ghana, we want to encourage the youth to take advantage of the various programmes and make something good out of it.The youth should know that, the more we make good decisions for ourselves today the more we reduce the burden on us tomorrow.
