The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will have a daunting task retaining and wrestling power come 2016 general elections as minor political parties move to merge. The Convention People’s Party and People’s National Convention are not the only partys that have plans to merge.

Ultimate News can confirm that the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) the United people’s Party (UPP) and the Independence People’s Party (IPP) are in talks to merge.

Speaking to Ultimate Fm’s Joseph Oppong Brenya in an exclusive interview in Kumasi, the leader of Independence People’s Party, Kofi Akpaloo reveals close door consultation and negotiation for the three partys to come together as one to wrestle power from the ruling government is far advanced.

Touching on claims that the minor political partys sell the conscience to the bigger ones, Mr. Apkaloo dismissed the claims, he said he is not doing the bidding of any other political party than his party and he is optimistic he will be elected as the next president of the country come 2016.
