Is the Asantehene a member of the Nefarious Destructive Cancer?

Is the Asantehene a member of the Nefarious Destructive Cancer?
10.08.2015 LISTEN

This question has agitated my mind since the NDC threw caution to the wind by castigating some men of God for attempting to calm frayed nerves in the NPP (Nnipa Pa Party).

Men of God have become easy targets of babies with sharp teeth and the greedy bastards in the Nefarious and Cancerous Contraption. The latter delude themselves into thinking that they are the repository of all knowledge. Any time a Man of God comments on national issues, they become easy target of vicious attacks from these NDC men and women who live for the day and have deliberately chosen not to believe that accountability awaits them. They are behaving like the foolish women who attended the wedding without putting oil in their lamps. They intimidate, control and manipulate their prey (members) into unquestionable loyalty and diabolical submission.

Almost on daily basis, Asiedu Nketiah, Solomon Nkansa, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Omane Boamah, Kofi Adams and their acolytes who function as despots oppress Ghanaians to such an extent that the gullible ones become convinced that it is easier to offend God and make heaven than to offend these men and escape hell.

These ungodly oppressors who have perfected the act of skilled group minded manipulation have obsessively acquired physical assets and stock piled money in complete disregard to the words of Jesus Christ that “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth (Matt.6:19)

But I do not blame them. Why? They must lay up treasure for themselves on earth because they are convinced that there will be nothing for them and their children in Heaven. At least, they do not believe that there will be. They are pretenders.

I challenge Dr Omane Boamah to do the most pragmatic thing at the time Medical Doctors are “resigning” en masse by stopping from one FM Radio Station to another and act the talk. Is he not a trained medical practitioner? He should put on his stethoscope and go to hospitals to attend to patients. He should stop hopping from one radio station to another station to pour invectives on doctors and Ghanaians who see everything wrong with the way the NDC Government is handling issues.

It is on record that the late Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Kuntukurunku 11 exhibited his leadership trait when even as a royal, he went to the Kibi Government to attend to patients when the patient ratio far outstripped that of the doctors.

That was a clear example of what leaders should do in time of crisis.

Men of God should not be insulated from politics. They have spoken out on national issues for years. In the Holy Bible, the Prophets spoke out. Samuel had an encounter with Saul when the latter disobeyed God's Command. It is on record that in most cases, the rulers admitted their faults and repented, but not with these stiff-necked leaders of the Nefarious Contraption! David took Uriah's wife but Nathan found him out. David repented, but the Kingdom of Israel suffered the consequences.

Again, after Saul had been rebuked by Samuel and the latter was leaving, Saul took hold of Samuel's clothing and it got torn. Samuel told Saul that God had torn the kingdom from him and given it to his neighbor.

Who says men of God should not comment on national issues? Read back numbers of newspapers in the NDC stables like the Palaver, The Ghanaian Lens, the Crystal Clear Lens, the Democrat and others. These papers were on daily basis calling on Dr Mensah Otabil, Bishop Palmer Buckle, Dag Heward Mills, Frimpong Manso (immediate Past Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Owusu Ansah and many others to comment on Kufuor's so called negative policies. What are they saying now?

In the United States, the Reverends Martin Luther King and Jesse Jackson were in the vanguard of the Civil Rights Movement. In Nigeria, Arch-Bishop Adebiyi Vicar of Arch-Bishop Vinning Catholic Church and other Catholic Bishops like Bishops Matthew Kuka and Peter Akinola and the then Primate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Mbang were instrumental in enthroning Democracy in the country. They were vocal in the call s on the Interim National Government under Chief Ernest Shonekan and the Abacha's regime to “de-annul” the June 12 election and installing Moshood Kashimawo Olabisi Abiola as President of the country.

In Ghana, the stance taken by the Catholic Bishop Conference and the Christian Council during the days of darkness (Acheampong and Rawlings' regimes) is not lost on us. They issued Pastoral Letters condemning atrocities and negative policies of the various regimes. The Catholic Standard should be commended for the tough stance It took against the inhuman practices being perpetrated by agents of destabilization. They spoke out when they felt they had to. And the heavens did not fall!

So, what is the Nefarious and the Cancerous Cancer saying now? They can only condemn the clergy for commenting on national issues only if it accept the fact that it is as blind as a bat and has lost its memory. But I know the NDC for what it is. It has chosen to engage in selective amnesia and this is hypocrisy at its height. Hypocrisy is a danger to our collective existence as Ghanaians.

Let a man of God heap praises on the NDC Government and all the papers will heap praises on that person. For example, the NDC papers, particularly, the AL-Hajj Newspaper was full of praises or Bishop Dag Heward Mills for his New Year message. “When you look at all the Shopping Malls coming up in the country for instance, you can tell that we are living in a “Better Ghana” and we need to be grateful” Bishop Heward Mills gleefully stated. “When you go to these malls, you see that America has been brought to Ghana and that obviously is a sign of a better Ghana. It did not use to be so, but now it is”.

Need I remind readers that a few months back, Alhaji Baturi and his Al-Hajj newspapers and other NDC newspaper had taken a swipe at the Revered Man of God for speaking the truth on the way the country is being run?

What about Reverend Dr Henry Martey, current Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana? When he spoke out openly, condemning Jake Obetsebi Lamptey for buying a State Bungalow which he has occupied previously, the NDC Commentators and news papers were full of praises for him. But when he asked the President to act the talk by fixing the energy problem, the attack dogs who had no idea of how the entity called Ghana came into being (but have chosen to believe what “latter day saints” like Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa have said or written) were let loose on the man of God. He became a punching bag for these paper weight NDC “hangers on”. A serial caller like Peter Otukunor, who has had his dental formulae set right for him because he belongs to the Nefarious and Cancerous Contraption, said Reverend Henry Martey is an “agent of the devil who will rot in hell fire”.

As a result of doing their work as men of God, Pastor Dr. Mensah Otabil, General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church, Dr. Palmer Buckle – Archbishop of the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Accra, Rt. Reverend Samuel Asante Antwi, former President of the Methodist Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Omani Frimpong, General Secretary of the Christian Church of Ghana, Dr. Dag Heward Mills, General Overseer of LightHouse International Church, Rev. Dr. Henry Martey, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Reverend Owusu Ansah and many other men of God have become object of vicious attacks from these “greedy bastards” and “babies with sharp teeth”. Some of them have even gone to the extent of derided these en of God by calling on them to disrobe and join the NPP.

But these men of God have remained unruffled in the face of extreme provocation, misrepresentation, misinterpretation and outright falsehood of their message and actions, with the belief that the “Battle is the Lord's” which indeed it is. We shall see who wins in the end.

Now, I come back to the heading of this write up. Is Asantehene a member of the Nefarious Destructive Cancer? The Asantehene is a revered person in this country and outside and under normal circumstances, I should not have brought up his name in this write up. He belongs to the category of Chiefs like the Oba of Benin Kingdom, the Oni of Ife of Oyo and the Sultan of Sokoto. But even here, he is “Primus Inter Pares”. Yes, First Amongst Equals – that is what he is

I asked the above question because of the propaganda unleashed by the Agents provocateur in the NDC on the role of Bishop Palmer Buckle, Reverend Henry Martey and Pastor Mensah Otabil in trying to bring peace to the embattled NPP. Is there anything wrong with these men of God attempting to bring peace to an otherwise volatile situation? What does the Bible teach us about Peace? Does their intervention make them members of the Political Party they are attempting to calm frayed nerves?

He who talks of equity must first come with clean hands. The NPP is not the first Political Party and will not be the last that prominent Citizens in the country have attempted to resolve political impasse. Sometime go, the Volta Regional House of Chiefs attempted to mediate between late President Mills and the Rawlingses. Did that make them NDC members?

It was former President John Jerry Rawlings, who in the heat of political passion and speaking on the ineptitude of his successor let the cat out of the bag by stating that on one occasion while the Asantehene was mediating in the feud between he and his successor, late President Miills remarked to the hearing of those present, including the Asantehene that “Rawlings, ore haw me oo” (Rawlings is giving me headache).

Yes, you have heard it. Rawlings himself said it loud and clear and was fully reported by various newspapers. What are the NDC people saying about it and what did they say at that time. The NPP did nothing like what the NDC is doing today. No NPP top person or newspaper said anything to the effect that the Asantehene is a member of the NDC.

Again when the tape in which the Asantehene was seen dancing to the tune “Yenntie Obiara” (we won't listen to anybody)” in the midst of high level NDC presence including the President John Dramani Mahama, nobody in the NPP came out publicly to state that the Asantehene is a member of the Nefarious Destructive Cancer.

The NDC should not cry wolf where there is none. We have not forgotten their attempt to desecrate the Golden stool when it attempted to by-pass the roadmap to peace in Dagbon through the Wuaku Report by establishing a parallel Commission

The NDC should not engage in mischief. Its members are collecting and chopping our money with both their left and right hands and legs “nyafu nyafu”. They must be seen to be working. They should resolve the issues involving the medical doctors and stop engaging in propaganda.

In conclusion, I pose the question again. Is the Asantehene a member of the Nefarious Destructive Cancer?

I pause for an answer!
