The headmaster of the T.I Ahmadiya Senior High School in Salaga in the Northern region has been forced to flee the community due to threats on his life from some residents.
Mumuni Bimbey and his family have been relocated to an unknown location in Tamale after the school was shut down due to violent clashes.
Two persons died as a result of the clashes triggered by the refusal of invigilators to allow students in slippers to write ongoing examinations at the school.
District Chief Executive of the East Gonja District, Aminu Lukman in an interview withStarr News said efforts are being made to protect the head teacher.
“It was only better to take the headmaster out of the situation; unfortunately the headmaster and the family are in Tamale”.
Meanwhile, a group calling itself the Concerned Old Students of T.I Ahmadiya Senior High School is demanding the immediate dismissal of the head teacher.
