New Patriotic Party(NPP) Eastern Regional Communications Team has described NDC agenda 50 / 50 as alcohol 50 / 50 because they went to share alcohol equally among themselves and got drunk during their launch at Suhum.

In a press briefing after a meeting of all NPP communicators at Akropong in the Akuapem north district, the communication team has however warned the ruling NDC not to take the people of the region for granted.

The regional executives of the National Democratic Congress launched Agenda 50/50 at Suhum with the motive of equally sharing votes with the opposition NPP come 2016 general elections.

The regional NPP Communications Director, David Prah in his speech expressed shocked at the way the launching turned into a drinking show.

'All that they went to do at Suhum was to share alcohol 50 / 50 tot among themselves. They went on drinking spree so we believe what they meant was nt agenda 50 / 50 but rather alcohol 50 / 50" Prah added.

He challenged the Mahama-led government to rather think of repairing bad roads in the region as well as the health and education needs of the people in the region.

"The people in the region are so descerning that they will never vote for this insensitive NDC government with all these corruption over their neck" he added.

Mr. David Prah assured the people of the region that the NPP regional executives will do their best to protect their votes during the 2016 elections since the NDC has intention of rigging the elections.

Convenor of Let My Vote Count, David Asante also called on the Electoral commission(EC) to clean the voters' register ahead of next year's elections in order to do away with bloated names and other irregularities in the register.

"President Mahama asked Togo to clean their register because most of the parties complained of some irrrgularities so i see no reason why we cannot do the same thing here" he said.

He therefore urged the EC to listen to the request of the various political parties and clean the register in order to have a peaceful elections in the future.
