Parents have been urged to take the development of their children at the early stages seriously in order to give them the fundamental knowledge for the future as well strengthen their academic performance.

Mrs. Felix Nyantakyi, Proprietess of Golden child school in Koforidua has however advised parents to invest in the basic education of their children instead of waiting for them to grow.

"It is better for parents to think of their childrens' education at the basic level instead of waiting for them to reach the secondary level" she added.

Speaking at the annual graduation and speech and prize giving day of the school, mrs. Nyantakyi also appealed to parents and gurdians to pay their wards fees early to avoid them being sacked from school.

Deputy regional Asante- Nkramo chief and the Parent of the year, Faisal Agyapong in his speech also urged parents to take good care of their childrens needs since it is against the Bible to parents to neglect their responsibilities of caring for their children. He was however grateful to management and staff of the school for their hardwork of impacting knowledge into pupils and encouraged them to do more in the coming years.

The regional physical education cordinator who also doubled as the chairman of the ceremony urged schools to provide sporting facilities for students to unearth their individual talents as some pupils may be good in other aspects more than academic performance.
