Voices of African Mothers (VAM) an NGO which is supported by the first lady of Equatorial Guinea Mrs. Constancia Mangue Nsue de Obian during the past week feted the children of Mampong Babies Home an institution established by Anglican Missionaries.

The delegation of about twenty people including the staff of John William Montessori School, students of the Cornell University (USA) was led by Nana Kyeremah Oppong II the chief of Tanoso, Mrs. Nana Fosu Randall the founder of VAM and John William Montessori School.

The occasion was highlighted by presentation of assorted food items that worth about GHC 4000 which included boxes of neat fufu, bags of rice, boxes of sardines, tomatoe paste and many others with cash of GHC 1000 to the children.

Receiving the items, Superintendent Margaret Addae thanked Mrs. Randall and heaped blessings of God upon her. The occasion also saw the presence of the Chief of Asante Mampong, Nana Osei Bonsu II and the Queen Mother of Mampong.

Commenting on the gesture, Mrs. Randall said "I thank God I'm able to pick up a child and wipe his tears away. Every life is important, both the poor and the rich". She hinted that, she has been donating to many orphanage homes and commended the first lady of Equatorial Guinea for her kindness to children.

Speaking to Garden City Radio she revealed that she has the intention of adopting children from the Babies Home which includes two set of twins, and a child whose mother left her just a day after she was born. She therefore appealed to authorities to allow her.
