Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Solomon Nkansah has fired a salvo at striking doctors describing them as “nation wreckers”.

According to him, the doctors in their bid to please the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) are moving heaven on earth to make the Mahama-led administration unpopular.

Doctors across the country have begun a strike as part of the process towards full resignation in three weeks.

Talks with the government for the institution of service conditions for the doctors broke down on Wednesday July 29, 2015. The doctors have accused government of dragging its feet in the negotiations.

But reacting to the decision by the doctors, Solomon Nkansah opined that the doctors love the NPP more than their jobs.

Otherwise, he said they will not put their job on the line just because of service conditions government has assured payment.

“It is about time we speak hard to people to reason. I wonder what has changed that they (GMA) don’t have good leaders who love this country. They (GMA) love their political party more than their jobs."

The NDC man alleged that the President of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr. Kwabena Opoku Adusei is part of the NPP‘s manifesto Planning Committee, thus is not surprised at the position taken by the doctors.

Solomon Nkansah said in spite of machinations against the NDC; government remains focused to fulfil the Better Ghana Agenda.
