New revenue figures from the petroleum sector, shows that earnings from crude oil exports which came in the form of taxes and royalties have gone down marginally.

Petroleum receipts and distributions report for the second quarter of this year, revealed that government grossed 79 million dollars, compared to 109 million dollars realized for the first quarter of this year.

The receipts came from almost 11 million barrels of crude oil exported from April to June this year.

The report also shows Ghana sold its share of crude oil between 53 and 63 dollars a barrel on the international market.
