Dangote Cement Trains Distributors

As part of efforts to reduce the rampant collapse of buildings across the country, Dangote, a cement producing company operating in the country, on Tuesday organized training programme for its distributors and block manufacturers in Cape Coast, the Central Regional capital.

The company is expected to use 14 days to train all beneficiaries under the training programme throughout the country.

About 50 people participated in the training workshop, which started at 8: 00 am and ended at 12 pm at the premises of Great Provider Block Factory in Cape Coast.

The training programme is expected to be organized by the company every year.

Addressing the participants, the Regional Sales Director of the company, Johnson Olanniyi, said it was the responsibility of the company to train the users to use the product correctly to achieve their goals.

He attributed the collapse of various buildings in the country to the use of inferior building materials on the market.

Mr Olanniyi entreated block manufacturers to use potable water in producing the concrete blocks.

The Regional Sales Director of the company advised block manufacturers to effectively supervise their workers in order not to produce bad blocks.

He added that they may lose their customers if they procure such materials to execute their projects.

The block manufacturers also appealed to the company to provide them with concrete mixers on a hire purchase basis to enable them produce quality concrete blocks for customers.

The Sales and Marketing Manager of Great Provider Block Factory, Joseph Kobina Aboo reiterated the company's commitment to producing quality products for customers.
