The National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu has conferred with the 2012 National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary Candidate for the Weija-Gbawe constituency and Founder of the Obuobia Foundation, Ms Obuobia Darko-Opoku at her residence.

The National Chief Imam commended Ms Darko-Opoku for her continuous support to the Muslim community and her constituency. He noted that even though she lost her Parliamentary bid in 2012, she has provided support to Muslims and her constituency in general.

He was elated when he got to know about the construction of a Youth Mosque, registration of over 200 Muslims on the National Health Insurance Scheme as well as the annual Ramadan donation to the Muslim community which were all facilitated by Ms Darko-Opoku.

According to the National Chief Imam, reports reaching him indicate her enormous support to the constituency and believes that she must be commended.

The two also discussed issues related to unemployment, development, peace and unity within the constituency and urged her not to hesitate in contacting him whenever she needs any assistance.

He prayed for her and encouraged her not to relent on her efforts at supporting her constituency.

Ms Darko Opoku described the visit as a memorable one and promised to continue to do her best for her constituency and Ghana as a whole.
