Mampong (Ash) July 27----Mr Mohammed Saani, headteacher, at Mensah Saahene International School in the Asante Mampong has stated that the hall-mark of every teacher is to be regular and punctual at school,adequate out-put of work in the classroom and advance preparation in other to win the confidence of parents and pupils they teach.

Mr Saani said this on last Friday during graduation ceremony at the school when certificates were presented to 49 pre-school pupils and 105 Basic six pupils who have graduated to enter Basic one and Junior High School respectfully in the school.

He said that, it is because of the dedication and commitment of the teachers and discipline of the pupils in the school that is why the school is now a household-word in all the communities in and around Asante Mampong.

The headteacher said failure of some parents to settle their wards school fees on time and lack of school bus to convey pupils outside Asante Mampong are some of the major challenges facing the school.

He appealed to the parents to fulfil their part of contract with the school by paying fees promptly and ensuring regularity and punctuality of their wards in school in return for quality education for the children.

Miss Mary Birago Bonsu, the outgoing school prefect appealed to parents to pay special attention to their girl-child education and ignore the old idea that the proper place for the girl-child is the kitchen.

Mrs Rita Mensah, a tutor at Amaniampong Senior High School who chaired the function added her voice to the appeal for parents to invest in their children’s education for the benefit of the family and the country.
