16.07.2015 LISTEN
By Congress For Democratic Change-USA

Bryans Road, Maryland -The Congress for Democratic Change-USA (CDC-USA) congratulates Mr. Rodney Sieh and the entire Managerial and Editorial Staff of the FrontPageAfrica (FPA) Newspaper and Online Magazine on the receiving of the “Newspaper of the Year” Award at the Annual Award Ceremony of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL).   Though we have not always agreed with the positions and operations of Mr. Sieh and his staff, we have always held FPA in high esteem.

The presence of FrontPageAfrica on a desert of truth and fearless reporting has made Mr. Sieh and his paper an oasis of hope. Mr. Sieh has elevated the level of investigative reporting; exposed government sponsored corruption; raised public interest in previously considered taboo subjects like abuse of power, juvenile delinquency, abuse of women and girls, prostitution, rape, human trafficking and the abuse of local people by foreign nationals; and upgraded basic reporting to analytical presentations.

As a Party, committed to weeding out the vices which haveundermined growth and development in our country, we take pride in individuals and institutions that stand with us and the people of Liberia in our fight. We perceive the FrontPageAfrica as a true champion of justice and a fearless campaigner for change in our country. By its work, FPAhas left and continues to leave indelible marks on the plains of our nation. We are profoundly honored to have an audacious and unequivocal voice of reason and illumination as the FrontPageAfrica. Our hope remains, that together, we can rebuild our country through strengthening our existing institutions and extirpating the vices of corruption, human rights abuse, disregard for the rule of law by officials of government and the lack of a true sense of patriotism amongst some of those entrusted by our people to lead.
