Accra, July 15, GNA - The National Investment Bank (NIB), has donated building materials towards the construction of a new office complex to house the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate of the Legon District Police Command.
The building materials include iron rods, cement, various electrical cables and pipes and assorted wood pieces worth GHȼ 19,800.00.
Chief Superintendent Aboagye Sarpong, Divisional Commander of the Airport District; and DSP Emmanuel Ofori Anokye, District Commander, Legon jointly received the items on behalf of the Legon District Police.
Chief Superintendent Aboagye Sarpong and his team thanked NIB for the quick response to their appeal and for the kind gesture saying, the completion of the office project would greatly boost the efficiency and effectiveness of the Police in the area.
Mr Charles Wordey, Head, Corporate Affairs, said NIB would continue to support stakeholders like the Police to help in the maintenance of law and order and for the good of the nation.
