JUL 4, 2015 LISTEN

Ghana’s Embassy in Washington DC will hold its first annual networking summit for Ghanaians living in the American diaspora. The inaugural event will occur under the theme: Diaspora Professional Summit and Networking.

The summit will take place on Friday, July 17 2015 on the Embassy premise located within the ambassadorial enclave of the Washington DC area in 3512 International Drive, North West, zip code 20008.

According to the Embassy, the objective behind this event is to afford all Ghanaian professionals living in the USA an opportunity to meet and interact with each other while the Embassy discovers ways to help respective businesses enhance relations among themselves to ultimately benefit Ghanaians all over.

Sources within the Embassy say although the event is happening in Washington DC and will obviously attract persons from the DMV, the event is still open to all Ghanaian professionals outside these states who are also actually encouraged to attend and contribute to the welter of opportunities that exist within the Diaspora communities.

According to an Embassy official, “this event is expected to provide a venue in which both businesses and investors or individuals and professionals can seek out strategic partnership or build recognition for themselves and their business of interests to create brand awareness”.

“We encourage attendees to pack on them their business cards and best looks as well because the event is going to be a great place to build your contact list. You never know who you might meet that might become of immense value in the near or distant future”. The source continued to say “the event will also provide a referral building opportunity where people can be specific about their business or investment needs”.

The July 17 event is part of the Embassy’s open door approach to the public in its bid to enhance the ongoings within Ghanaian business communities in the USA, helping to see them grow and flourish. The Embassy believes if these businesses and organizations flourish it stands to benefit not only the Diaspora, but Ghanaians back home as well.

Doors of the event are opened to all professionals and business minded persons and organizations who are looking for an exceptional and quality crowd within which to network irrespective of their nationality.
