Thank You JM For A Woman EC Chair—NDC Women's Wing

The Women's Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) embraces the decision of the President His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on the appointment of a woman, Mrs Charlotte Osei as the Electoral Commissioner of our dear Nation.

The president has once again demonstrated his commitment towards increasing the number of women in governance and critical leadership positions as enshrined in the Affirmative Action Plan of the Better Ghana Manifesto of the National Democratic Congress.

We believe that this great decision by the president is a step in the right direction and calls for commendation from all Ghanaians especially women.

We also congratulate Mrs. Charlotte Osei for this feat she has attained through diligence and good values. It is undoubtedly a source of motivation for us as women with capabilities who believe in ourselves and willing to contribute with all dignity for the betterment of our dear Nation Ghana.

As we applause her on this enviable but tough responsibility, we seek the favor of God, knowledge and understanding for her in carrying out her duties.

We will continuously support all women in politics and other leadership positions.

We therefore encourage Madam Charlotte Osei to be firm and work hard to appraise the confidence and trust that well meaning Ghanaians have on the Electoral Commission.

The NDC women's wing also calls on all Ghanaians especially women to be agents of peace to ensure unity of purpose, stability and development of our dear nation.
