What Does President Mahama Take Ghanaians For?

I have of late been brooding over the question, what does President Mahama take Ghanaians for? Does he take us for imbeciles? Does he take us for intelligent persons? Does he take us for a bunch of nincompoops overflowing with short, if not short-circuited, memory? I really can’t tell exactly what he takes us for but I can guess what he takes us for.

President Mahama and his NDC government and cronies take Ghanaians for namby-pamby lots who can easily be induced with little goodies and small amounts of money at any given time hence the sophisms fervently employed by the President and NDC to show their nonchalance towards the collective welfare of Ghanaians.

The President sarcastically sees and calls himself “a dead goat”. He dances “azonto” with his buddy, Asantehene, to the “Yen ntie obiaa” rendition by Daddy Lumba. The more Ghanaians complain about the economic hardships facing the populace, the more callous and deaf he becomes to the needs and the hue and cry by the people. He simply can’t be bothered, but dubiously continues to deplete the nation’s coffers.

Now that there is an upcoming by-election for the parliamentary seat in Talensi in the North, on 7 July 2015, the NDC are alleged to have vehemently embarked on vote-buying spree. They are inducing voters with goodies and GHc1, 000 to any willing electorate ready to vote NDC. If this allegation turns out to be true, then is President Mahama not justified to treat us the way he does, seeing Ghanaians as a bunch of little minds that can easily be appeased regardless of the immensity of the evil you do to them?

Upon all the years of financial and economic hardships Ghanaians have been going through; the joblessness baring its Dracula fangs at them, the collapse of industries and business through the tormenting power outages (“dumsor”), how can they so easily forget about them on a one-off bait, or offer, of goodies and or GHc1, 000? How long will that bribery of rice, tins of Geisha or GHc1, 000 take you in your quest to better your conditions of living, my fellow Ghanaians?

People should please think hard about the consequences of their actions. As long as some people are willing to accept such petty bribes which indeed amount to underestimation of one’s intelligence, President Mahama will continue to mismanage Ghana, steal our money, then use part of the stolen money to bribe us in order to continue to rule us and to steal further more.

Can the life of the Ghanaian under President Mahama and his NDC government and party be compared to the biblical story of Esau and Jacob as reproduced below?

“Genesis 25: 29-34 - The boys grew up and Esau became a skilful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was content to stay at home among the tents. 28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. 30 He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom. [d])

31 Jacob replied, “First sell me your birth right.”

32 “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birth right to me?”

33 But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birth right to Jacob.

34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left”.

President Mahama and his cronies will plunder all that we have in the nation’s coffers to use part to bribe us as alleged to be taking place in Talensi Constituency in Ghana.

Did Esau not later regret his action and then cultivated hatred towards his younger brother (Jacob) after realising his folly brought about by his suffered momentary pangs of hunger?

Fellow Ghanaians, please do not allow President Mahama and NDC to continue to fool you. They have nothing better for you but absolute pains and poverty as the evidence on the ground points to.

I hope you will all flock to hear me in the not too-distant future when I hit the campaign ground with my messages of hope, and change in government for the betterment of all Ghanaians.
